now this was a 2 parter post because the blogger interface for photos is slow and shitty sometimes.

but the idea behind this is "stuff that teachers do when students are doing their rewrites".

one thing i've been peeping lately is the occidentalism.org blog.

i've been pretty out of political affairs in my life as an expat... i've noticed that things just tend to repeat and repeat, graft and corruption, politician gets shamed, nothing really changes... or "we hate japan" gets repeated ad nauseum.

it was fascinating for the first year but now it just bores me. i have a feeling that it will be a long time before the enmity between korea and japan sees any sort of practical, honest solution where both sides say "ok, we agree that being stubborn is fucking retarded" and just try to get along.

the people at occidentalism.org seem a little bit more obsessed with it than i have been of late and tend to scan the news more consistently than i. as well, many of the bloggers there speak korean, chinese, japanese or all 3... so that helps you get a little bit more of an objective opinion, especially a complete outsider's objective opinion of the news.

newspapers here are written by opinion-mongers and shitheads... i wonder if japan is the same.
