hiragana characters memorized thus far...

first japanese lesson today.

learned to write the vowels "ah, ee, oo, eh, oh" in hiragana.

this is "ah"



also learned "koreh wa ikuru dess-ka?" which means "how much is this?" and a few other phrases.

the alphabet is going to be daunting. 57 characters in hiragana. then there's katakana. then there's kanji. (chinese characters).

it's gonna be a daunting task.
